Nelda Poplin Moss

Nelda Poplin Moss, 81, of Easley, wife of the late I. Farrell Moss, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Born in Albemarle, NC, she was a daughter of the late Patrick H. and Pearl Curlee Poplin. Nelda earned a Master’s Degree in Food and Nutrition from Winthrop University and worked for many years at the B.J. Skelton Career Center as a Culinary Arts teacher. She had a love for cooking for others, quilting, and crocheting. After retirement, Nelda and Farrell enjoyed traveling together and visited all of the lower 48 states. Nelda was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two children, Lori M. Wise of Roanoke, VA, and John S. Moss (Lisa) of Knoxville, TN; two siblings, Patsy P. Fesperman (David) of Mobile, AL, and Roger E. Poplin (Brenda) of Cherryville, NC; and five grandchildren, Owynn D. Wise, Addison G. Moss, Emma R. Moss, Laurel M. Moss, and Hunter F. Moss.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at The Foothills Retirement Community, 205 Bud Nalley Drive, Easley, SC 29642.
