Nelle Long Clary, 93, of Easley, wife of the late Gilder Huiet Clary, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Born November 14, 1919 in Newberry, SC, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Lillie Epting Long. Nelle graduated from Silverstreet High School and retired from S-Mart a division of Stone Manufacturing. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and attended St Matthias Lutheran Church.

Nelle is survived by her daughters, Vicki Jones Charlotte, Pat Strickland (John), Jan Nalley (Ronnie) of Easley, and Cindy Caldwell (Brad) of Rock Hill. "Mimi" is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Dianne Copeland Chandler; brothers, Jacob Long, Burley Long, LeRoy Long, Eugene (Gene) Long, and Guy Long and sisters Vanessa (Sis) Counts and Virginia (Ginny) Boozer.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville with the Reverend Jeffrey Lingle officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Countryside-The Park Assisted Living Center for their tremendous loving care and support of Mom, as well as, the staff of Baptist Easley.

The family will be at the home of Pat Strickland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chrysalis Autism Center, 410 Oakland Avenue, Suite 101, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or SC Ovarian Cancer Foundation, 110 B Edinburgh Court, Greenville, SC.
