Nelson Dennis Passwaters, 77, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home in Pendleton, SC.
Nelson was born in Georgetown, Delaware, a son of the late George Washington and Doris King Passwaters. He was a retired employee of the State of Delaware and following his retirement moved to Florida and worked for many years as a land surveyor. He loved woodworking, furniture refinishing and gardening. He was a Vietnam Era Army veteran.
Surviving are his son, Kevin (Sonia) Passwaters of Clemson; daughters, Denise Warren of Pendleton, SC and Donna Dipollina of New London, CT; brothers, Charles Passwaters of Okeechobee, FL, George "Beetle" Passwaters of Georgetown, DE, Donald Passwaters of Seaford, DE and Bobby Passwaters of Lincoln, DE; sisters, Cherie Passwaters of Trappe, MD, Sissy Keene of Trappe, MD and Kathy Prentice of Wilmington, DE; daughter-in-law, Mary Passwaters of Central; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and his former wife and his partner, Ginny Verosko of the home.
A private family gathering and service will take place at a later date in Delaware.
