Nettie Moody Brooks, 84, formerly of 302 Turner Street, died Friday, April 24, 2009 at Blue Ridge Living Center.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late William Jackson and Nettie Julian Moody. She was a member of the Easley Church of God and was active in the Ladies Ministry and the Church Prayer Partners. Mrs. Brooks retired from Mayfair Mills after 32 years of service.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by two sons, Jack (Gayle) and Art (Gwen) Brooks of Easley; two daughters, Pam Jeffers (Greg) of Duncan and Panzy Schoffstall (David) of Powdersville ; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse M. Brooks and by a son, Jonathan U. Brooks.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m., Sunday at Easley Church of God, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church, Sunday from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., prior to the service.

The family is at the home of a son, Jack Brooks, 203 Mount Forest Circle, Easley, SC 29640.
