Nina was a member of the First Methodist Church in Wilson, NC since childhood and joined the Westminster Presbyterian Church after moving to Greenville, SC.
One of Nina's greatest joys was spending time with her family. She especially loved her visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, teaching them not only her favorite card and board games, but also important life lessons. She also shared with them wonderful and meaningful stories about their ancestors. Nina was an avid bridge player all of her life, and she proudly passed down her passion for reading to her family. Watching Jeopardy every night was one of her favorite pastimes. Nina was a unique woman; she was elegant, smart, tough, self-reliant, and she never complained. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her quick wit, her feisty personality, and her willingness to accept change with grace. Her family cannot recall her ever raising her voice or using a cross word, yet they all listened and followed her instructions. Her sincerity and caring nature made it easy for her to make friends throughout her life, and she set a great example for her entire family on how to live life honestly and to the fullest.
Her family would like to thank the entire staff of Rolling Green Village for the excellent care she received from all of the staff for many years and to Interim Healthcare Hospice in the last week of her life.
