Nita Aiken Isom

April 22, 1954 — April 14, 2026

Easley

Nita Aiken Isom, 71, of Easley, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Prisma Baptist Easley Hospital. Born on April 22, 1954, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Robert Aiken and the late Ruby Lee Burnett Herman.

For over 30 years, Nita dedicated herself as a production associate with Michelin, her career reflecting the diligence and resolve that defined her character. In every aspect of her professional life, she embraced the virtues of hard work and perseverance with unwavering determination.

Yet it was within the embrace of her family that Nita’s spirit would shine. She was a mother who consistently placed her sons at the forefront of her heart and attention, never missing a baseball game or opportunity to support them in their pursuits. Her provision for her family was constant and heartfelt; she ensured they had all they needed during their formative years, a testament to her role as a pillar of strength and care.

Nita’s warmth and generosity extended beyond her immediate household. As a loving “Nanny” to her grandchildren, she enriched their lives with the kind of affection and joy that only a grandmother’s embrace can bestow. Her love and fondness also encompassed her siblings, with whom she shared many joyful outings with her sisters, frequently gathering to enjoy meals together, moments of simple pleasure that underscored the importance of family bonds in her life.

Her personality embraced a true spirit of adventure, relishing spontaneous travels, whether to the welcoming mountains or the tranquil shores of the beach. These impromptu journeys offered glimpses into her zest for life and her appreciation for nature’s beauty.

In the home she nurtured, Christmas, and particularly Christmas dinner, was held sacred, becoming a cherished tradition filled with warmth and celebration. Nita’s culinary talents were fondly remembered by all who tasted her cooking, especially her magic bars, which were a crowd favorite.

Beyond these treasures, she entertained a playful hopefulness, delighting in “Scratch-offs” and often jesting, “When I win the lottery…”—a phrase that spoke to her lighthearted optimism and joy in life’s small pleasures.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Deese, and her brother, Tracy Darren Aiken.

She is survived by sons, Andy Stover (Melissa) and Travis Stover (Jaimie); grandchildren, Justin Stover, McKenna Stover, Madison Danko (Jared), and Stella Stover; sisters, Sybil McAtee and Tina Aiken, and brothers, Robert Aiken, Jr. (Helen) and James Aiken.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel.

In honoring Nita's passing, we celebrate a woman whose life was rich with purpose, compassion, and an unyielding commitment to those she loved. Her presence enriched all who knew her, and though she has departed this earthly realm, the imprint of her life endures with timeless grace.
