Nora G. Cantrell

Nora Kansas Gilstrap Cantrell, 92, of 401 Biltmore Drive, wife of the late Paul Robert Cantrell, died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Lewis and Kansas Galloway Gilstrap, Mrs. Cantrell retired as a nursing assistant with Palmetto Health Baptist Easley. She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where she belonged to the Naomi Sunday School Class and the Senior Adults.
Surviving are two daughters, Grace McAlister of Central, and Joyce Willis of Liberty; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchilden. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cantrell was predeceased by a daughter, Eloise Waldrop, and by sixteen brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brushy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer, Rev. Rodney Graham and Rev. Bill Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The Naomi Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Escorts.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown and will be placed in the church at noon Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, SC 29642.
The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Anita Bishop, 132 Carlissa Court, Easley, SC 29640.
