Nora Entrekin Stephens

Nora Entrekin Stephens, 91, of Central, wife of Wilton Charles Stephens, passed away on September 6, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, NC, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Clarence and Selma Durham Entrekin. Mrs. Stephens grew up in Six Mile and graduated from Six Mile High School. She worked as an assembler at Pratt-Read and later at Duke Power, retiring from both. Mrs. Stephens was an active member at Kings Grove Baptist Church. Wilton and Nora loved their church and were always available to do what needed to be done to make the church look wonderful for everyone.

She is survived by her husband of seventy-three years, Wilton Charles Stephens; daughter, Judi Moore and husband Mike of Six Mile; grandchildren, Michael Wade, Matthew Wade and wife Karen, Cole Moore and wife Susan, and Crystal Moore Fulton and husband Ben; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Wade, Ivy Wade, Charlie Wade, Caroline Moore, Sarah Beth Moore, Daniel Fulton, and Adam Fulton; sister, Rosa Lee Isbell.

Nora was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Ernest Entrekin, David Entrekin, and Nellie Sue Knight.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Kings Grove Baptist Church, 1335 Old Seneca Road, Central.

Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
