Norman S. Garrison

Norman Sewell Garrison, 70, of 1010 Cely Road, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, Mr. Garrison was a son of the late Norman Garrison and the late Ruth and Miles Gregory. He graduated from Parker High School in 1959, and he was a building contractor. Mr. Garrison was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Seekers Bible Fellowship Class, and choir. Mr. Garrison was a patron member of the NRA, a Gideon, and a US Air Force Veteran. He was Chairman of the Powdersville Water District Board.
Surviving are his wife, Melba Jolley Garrison; son, Jeffrey Norman Garrison (Lisa), daughters, Melinda Garrison (Steve) and Melanie Garrison Elrod (Clay) all of Powdersville; sisters, Margie Holmes and Kathy Elrod, both of Powdersville; eight grandchildren, Mark Garrison, Graham and Hope Harvard, Cely Elrod, Matthew Garrison, Jacob Garrison, Sarah Caroline Elrod, and Anna Cate Garrison. Mr. Garrison was also predeceased by his brother, Gerald Garrison.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gallamore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday.
The family is at the residence.
