Obera Ellison Orr, 98, of 2800 Brushy Creek Road and wife of the late Lake Hugh Orr, went to be with the Lord, Sunday January 12, 2014 at McCall Hospice House.
Mrs. Orr was born in Anderson County, SC, the daughter of the late David C. and Botie Belle Norris Ellison. She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Ida Looper Bible Fellowship Class.
Surviving are her son, Sam Orr, of Blythewood, SC; a brother, David Ellison, of Piedmont, SC; a sister, Carol Hughes, of Spartanburg, SC; 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Orr and David Orr and a sister, Ruth Stark.
Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Wednesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:15 pm Wednesday, prior to the service, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
