Mrs. Ocieville Poston "Nig" Ragsdale, 90, wife of the late Charles Crawford Ragsdale, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at her home.
Born in Rockingham, NC, a daughter of the late John Henry and Ruth Haigler Poston, Mrs. Ragsdale retired from the White Horse Road Plant of JP Steven and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Danny Ragsdale (Linda) of Roswell, GA; a daughter, Sandy Cooper (Joe) of Easley; four sisters, Jo Smith of CA, Novelleen Stewart of IN, Irene Thomas of Augusta, GA, and Bea Murphree of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Lori and Todd Cooper, and Robert Ragsdale. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ragsdale was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann Ragsdale, and a sister, Ruby Reeves.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Sunday at the church, prior to the service.
The family will be at the residence and would like to express their appreciation to Hospice Care of South Carolina for their excellent care and concern during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1 Caledon Court, Number 1B, Greenville, SC 29615; or Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642; or to Meal on Wheels of Pickens County, P.O. Box 184, Easley, SC 29641.
