Olin Lucius Benjamin, Jr., 81, of 103 Claremont Court, loving husband for 63 years to Joan Smith Benjamin, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2018.
Born in Easley, a son to the late Olin Lucius and Frances Rives Benjamin, Mr. Benjamin graduated from Easley High School Class of 1954. He was an Easley City Clerk prior to retiring from J.A. Piper Roofing after thirty years of employment. Mr. Benjamin was a faithful member of West Main Street Church of Christ, where he was a Song Leader. After serving in the U.S. Navy Reserves, Mr. Benjamin served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Denise Jackson (Jimmy) of Greer, Lisa Cassell (Scott) of Pickens, and Gina Warren (Stan) of Easley; three brothers, Roger Benjamin of Liberty, Sherrill Benjamin of Chicago, Il, and Randall Benjamin of Easley; three sisters, Donna Waldrop and Karen Payne, both of Easley, and Jean Boiter of Liberty; nine grandchildren, Ben Lappin, Blake Jackson, Justin Jackson, Brittney Porter, Devin Jackson, Houston Cassell, Dakota Warren, Keeley Warren, and Micah Warren; and three great-grandchildren, James, Aubrey, and Hayley Lappin.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Benjamin was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Benjamin.
Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in the Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until 3:15PM Sunday, June 10, 2018, prior to the service.
