Olin Eugene Borton

Olin Eugene Borton, 92, of Easley, South Carolina, husband of the late Jessica C. Borton, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. 

Born in Quincy, Michigan, he was a son of the late Jesse and Pearl Esterline Borton. Olin served his country with honor in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952. Olin retired after a remarkable 40 year career as a General Foreman from American Standard. Described as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Olin's family meant the world to him. He took great joy in spending time with his loved ones, creating lasting memories that will forever be cherished. Outside of his professional life, Olin had a passion for fishing, hunting, and gardening. His love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. Additionally, he devoted his time to serving his community through his involvement in the Lions Club and volunteering at Easley Baptist Hospital. A faithful member of Easley First Baptist Church, Olin's spiritual presence was strong and unwavering.

He is survived by three sons, Gary Borton (Kathy), Gregg Borton (Donna), and Brian Borton; two daughters, Cindy Lilly (Mark), and Bonnie Perry (Keith); a brother, Jerry Borton; a sister, Emma Jean Woods; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Reese, Ian Borton, Jeff Borton, Ryan Lilly, Amber Plikard, Zan Ali, and David Borton; and fourteen great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Borton, Richard Borton, and Tommy Borton; and one sister, Barbara McClain. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road.
