Opal Barnes Garrick Dalton, 91, formerly of Easley, wife of the late Marvin R. "Barlow" "Bob" Dalton and the late James C. "Jake" Garrick, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019.
Born in Liberty, she was a daughter of the late Verner and Dora Sargent Barnes.
Mrs. Dalton was retired from Belk in Easley. She was a member of Six Mile Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and solving word search puzzles.
Surviving are her children, Tony Garrick (Bernice) of Pinetown, NC, Marcia Hyder (Steve) of Liberty, Joyce Robinson (Sam) of Seneca and Ann Bayne (Lamar) of Pickens; sisters, Evelyn Bearden of Pickens and Marie Green of Seneca; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a special friend, Susan Smith of Easley.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Lonnie Dalton; grandchildren, Andrea Propes and Melissa Robinson; sisters, Alice Barnes and Velma McKinney; and brothers, Avery and J.B. Barnes.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2019, from 2:30 PM until 3:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Cottingham Hospice House, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
The family will be at their respective homes.
