Opal Blanche McCall Julian, 92, of 386 Albatross Road, wife of the late Clarence R. Julian, died Saturday, October 25, 2008, at her home.

Born in Transylvania County, NC, a daughter of the late Waitsell and Susie McCall, Mrs. Julian was a graduate of Dacusville High School and retired from Sangamo Electric Corporation after twenty years of service. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she belonged to the Jolly Sunday School Class and was a member of the Ladies Missionary Circle.

Surviving are a son, Dennis Julian and wife, Glenda, of Marietta; a daughter, Judith J. Childress and husband, Theo, of Myrtle Beach; three grandchildren, Marti Bragg and husband, Roger, and Dean Julian and wife, Jennifer, all of Myrtle Beach, and Dianne Clamp and husband, Chris, of Table Rock; and five great-grandchildern, Kelsey and Timothy Bragg, Jacie and Anna James Julian, and Lawton Clamp. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Julian was predeceased by a brother, Ralph McCall and a sister, Geneva Chappell.

Funeral services will at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Bridges and Rev. Paul Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday and will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
