Ottis McGaha

Ottis McGaha, 84, of the Dunean Community, went to be with the Lord Saturday September 13, 2008 at the McCall Hospice House.
Mr. McGaha was born in Cosby, Tennessee, a son of the late John D. and Maggie McCarter McGaha. He was a former employee of Milliken - Judson Plant and retired from J.P. Stevens & Co. - Dunean Plant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II and an active member of Tremont Church of God, where he was a member of the Sanctuary Class, the Prayer Band, he was an usher, a former Sunday School teacher, church elder and children's church pastor.
Surviving are his wife, Gayle Childress McGaha, of the home ; a son, Wayne "Butch" McGaha, of Greer ; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Gene Key, of Greenville ; two grandchildren, Jonathan Banks, of Greenville and Susan C. McGaha, of Charleston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Banks and two grandchildren, Casey Banks and Michael Wayne McGaha.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the Reverend Bob Gibson and Mr. Tony Christopher officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, East.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
