Pamela June McCollum Reynolds
Easley SC
Pam McCollum Reynolds, 75, was called home to her Lord and Savior on December 10, 2025. She passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side.
Born June 18, 1950 to Furman Matthew and Lily Kathleen Wiggins McCollum, Pam was the oldest of four children. She was part of a large, close-knit family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who all grew up together around the Arial Mill and Cedar Rock community. Over the last several years, all of the cousins would gather once a month for a “cousins breakfast.” Pam loved the time spent with them and called it a “grand old time.” That is what Pam loved the most-her family. She cherished her children and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anyone that knew Pam, especially her extended family and friends, knew that she was considered “the mouth of the South.” If there was an event or something that family needed to know about, you just called Pam. Within an hour or so, the entire Southeast was in-the-know. And EVERYONE knew if you had a secret, Pam was NOT the person to tell. She’d always find it out though. She was a nosy, bossy, and larger-than-life personality. Whether you asked for or not, usually not, she gave you her opinion with a stern “Well, if I was you, I would…” She was a talker, never met a stranger, and she was funny. She pulled no punches and you could take her at face value. She loved genealogy and visiting old cemeteries across the upstate in Pickens and Oconee Counties. And one thing was for certain, she hated Donald Trump. She called her daughter almost on the daily to say “Can you believe what that moron has done now? I didn’t think he could shock me anymore.”
Pam is survived by three children: one daughter, Kellie Chapman Nix (Rodney) of Easley; two sons, Carl “Chip” Chapman (Heather) of Six Mile, and Gregory Chapman, of Liberty; grandchildren: Samuel Nix (Brooke) and Joshua Nix, and Logan Chapman, all of Easley, and Steven Chapman (Caitlin), Haylee Chapman, and Sarah Chapman, all of Six Mile, and Marcus Cornwell (Irina) of Williamston; great-grandchildren Miles and Hayes Nix, Dominic, Aiden, Caius, and Abby Cornwell, and Grayson & on-the-way Stevie Jane Chapman; and brother, Phil McCollum (Robin) of Easley. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Tim and Hal McCollum; first husband, Carl Douglas Chapman, Sr., and second husband, John Michael Reynolds.
We would like to extend a special thanks to our Uncle Phil, who has been a huge support and right there with us through this ordeal. We would also like to sincerely thank the nurses and staff at Baptist Easley Hospital, who all provided exemplary care with so much love and compassion to our Mama, particularly Stephanie. We are forever grateful for their kindness and support, as well as Interim Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
