Pamela Jones Willis, 61, formerly of Clemson, Boone, NC and Joplin, MO, died Monday, August 27 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson following a long illness.
Born in Marietta, GA, she was a daughter of the late William Buff and Marcia Lewis Jones. She was a nursing graduate of Clemson University and worked for many years in the nursing field. Pam was dedicated to improving quality in the extended care facility area. She enjoyed gardening, beachcombing, camping and fishing.
Surviving are her sister, Judith Jones (Robert) Felder of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter, Margaret Buff Willis of Pendleton; son, William Everett (Jennifer) Willis of Vilas, NC; extended family, James Arthur Willis; niece and nephew, Allison and John Felder; close friend, Howanda Harrington; and her beloved pets, Callie Mouse, Mr. Whiskers, Sugar and Tiffany.
Memorial services will be 11 AM, Sunday, September 2 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Following the service a reception will be held at 103 S. Prevost Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the Anderson Free Clinic, P.O. Box 728, Anderson, SC 29622 www.andersonfreeclinic.org or to the Anderson County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2262, Anderson, SC 29622 www.achsonline.com.
