Parker Lee Rice, 60, of Asheville, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at Golden Living Retirement Center.
Born October 20, 1953 in Greenville County, he was a son of Robert L. Rice and the late Mary Aileen Sweet Rice. Mr. Rice was an accomplished musician having traveled all over the country with Evangelist Lester Roloff. He loved bluegrass and gospel music and played the guitar, banjo, harmonica and keyboard. Mr. Rice also trained Australian Blue Heelers for many years.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Debbie Rice (Bryan Hiott); brothers, Oliver Rice (Sherry) and Orville Rice and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Rebecca Rice.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 PM Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Westview Cemetery, Easley.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:15 PM Thursday prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
