Patricia "Carol" Fisher Cassell, 66, of 6988 Highway 11, died Friday, January 29, 2010, at her home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late John and Della Reid Fisher, Mrs. Cassell was retired from the Pickens County School district and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, Pickens, S.C.
Surviving are her husband of forty nine years, Douglas Cassell, of the home; one son, Dale Cassell of Sunset; three daughters, Doris Whitmire of Sunset; Vickie Perez of Liberty; and Pam Smith of Sunset;one brother, Truman Fisher of Greenville; one sister, Joyce Roper of Pickens; ten grandchildren, Shelli Holcombe, Dana Floyd, Jena Durham, Samuel Smith, Magan Dorfman, Dawn Whitmire, Joseph Cassell, Eden Cassell, Douglas Whitmire, and Diego Perez; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Holcombe, Georgia Floyd, Logan Holcombe, and Carter Dale Durham. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cassell was predeceased by four brothers; three sisters; and a son, Keith Cassell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with the Reverends Homer Couch, Gerald Martin, Barry Pace, and Travis Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Pickens, S.C.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m.until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
