Patricia Nell McKenzie Stephens, 85, formerly of Easley and widow of the late Melvin Sloan Stephens, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Powdersville Post Acute in Easley, SC.

Patricia was born in DeBerry, Texas, a daughter of the late James Odis and Nelwyn Brazzil McKenzie. Patricia was formerly of Minden, Louisiana. She moved back to South Carolina in 2007 and was a member of the Church of Christ in Seneca.

Patricia is survived by a daughter, Lisa Simolke and her husband Tobey of Bay St. Louis, MS; son, Melvin “Sam” Stephens and his wife Julie of Gainesville, grandchildren, Carl Tance Simolke,  Chelsea Maria Simolke Patil, Ryan Stephens, Samantha Stephens and Cheyenne Stephens; brothers, Edward Wayne McKenzie of Plain Dealing, LA , James Odis McKenzie, Jr. of  Benton, LA.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brothers, Billy Ray McKenzie, Richard Lee McKenzie; and a sister, Margie Ann McCarthy.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, June 23, 2025 in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home & Cremations, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, SC 29630 with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, SC.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon till 12:50 Monday prior to the service at the funeral h o m e .

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to donate to favorite charity.
