Patricia Ann Vernon

Patricia Ann Vernon, 89, Clemson, SC, passed away on September 25, 2025. She was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Adnel James and Drama Lee Foil.

Throughout her life, Pat found joy in simple pleasures. She had a deep love for gardening, often spending hours tending to her plants and creating beautiful spaces filled with color and life. Birdwatching was another of her interests, where she found peace and happiness while observing the beauty of nature.

Pat’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her hobbies; it was a fundamental aspect of who she was. She was a caregiver to many family members, always offering love and support to those in need. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Michelle Summers (Joel), and Melodie Myrick (Mike); brother, Stephen Foil; sister, Bonna Patterson; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her cherished husband Alden Earl Vernon; brother, James Foil; and 1 grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Pat to the Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House of Seneca, SC.
