1959 Patrick Gallo 2026

Patrick Gallo

May 24, 1959 — February 2, 2026

Liberty, South Carolina

Patrick Eugene Gallo lived a life full of purpose, laughter, service, and love. Born on May 24, 1959, he passed away peacefully at his home on February 2, 2026.

Patrick was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Mary Kosma Fontaine and the late Paul Gallo. His life eventually led him south, where he found his calling and his community in South Carolina. After earning his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Patrick devoted almost forty years to caring for others as a pharmacist in the Upstate. He began his career at Revco in Liberty and spent the final chapter at Ingles in Pickens. To many, he was far more than their pharmacist. He was a trusted face and a friend.

Family and friends were the center of Patrick’s world. He was a loving son, a devoted father, a wonderful partner, and the very best BaBa to his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride.

Patrick believed deeply in giving back. He was a long-standing member of the Rotary Club of Easley and served as a Trustee for the School District of Pickens County, driven by a sincere passion for helping children and strengthening the community he loved.

As a proud Parrothead, Patrick found joy in Jimmy Buffett’s music, blue water, good cocktails, long conversations, and friendships that felt like family. He believed the ocean could heal the soul and that life was meant to be enjoyed. His faith, rooted in the Eastern Orthodox tradition, guided him to live each day with intention, gratitude, and love.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Mary Fontaine; his daughter, Kelley Gallo Woods, her husband Steven and his grandchildren, Delaney and Ledger Woods; his fiancée, Melissa Cartee and her children, Stuart Cartee, Caleb Cartee and Ashton Adams along with grandson, Brody; his uncles Nikolas and Louie Kosma; his aunt Helen Cassin and Doug; and many friends who were his chosen family. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Gallo; his brother, Joseph Gallo; and his stepfather, Paul Fontaine.

Patrick will be remembered for his generous heart, his dedication to others, and his belief that life is best lived with purpose, humor, and love. His presence made people feel seen, cared for, and welcome. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
