Paul F. Belbusti
June 15, 1931 — April 25, 2021
Paul F. Belbusti, 89, of Easley, SC and Framingham, MA passed away peacefully with the care and comfort of his family on April 25, 2021 at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. He was the devoted husband of Janet A. Taylor Belbusti for 53 years.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Ugo and Palma Cordella Belbusti. After attending Framingham High School, Class of 49, Paul served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division in the Korean War 1950-53. In 1956 he graduated from The School of Practical Art, Boston, MA (now The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University) with a degree in Advertising Design. He worked at Honeywell as a Graphic Design Artist for 26 years.
Paul loved nature – the ocean, mountains, lakes, animals and plants, and he captured them all in his artwork as a landscape painter in both oils and watercolors. His many interests and hobbies were bowling, skiing, golf, chess, photography, fishing, gardening, and cooking Italian and Asian dishes. This friendly guy who was always eager and willing to chat will be greatly missed.
Paul was the brother of the late Pierina Belbusti and Lena Tiramani. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his older brother, Albert F. Belbusti and his wife Ines of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law, Diane Taylor Firari of Lake Mills, WI; and his many nieces and nephews: Pamela Edrehi and her husband Charles of Framingham, MA; Lucille Boland and her husband Terry of Amboy, IN; Edward Belbusti of New Castle, VA; Cynthia Young of Canberra, Australia; Joanne Hewitt and her husband Robert of Virginia Beach, VA; Teresa Lee of Henrico, VA; John Belbusti and his wife Christine of Scarsdale, NY; Kristine Dalton and her husband Robert of Kiel, WI; Judith Philips and her husband James of Lake Mills, WI; Jeffrey Taylor and his wife Trudy of Portage, WI; Kathryn Davis and her husband Stuart of Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
A Memorial Service was held on April 30, 2021 in the Chapel of the Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road in Easley, SC. Scroll to the video player below to view the service. A burial in Framingham, MA will be planned this summer.
