Paul Phillips "Phil" Foster, Sr., 65 of Easley, SC, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at his residence following a short but courageous battle with his health.
Born in Charlotte, NC, Phil was the son of the late Paul L. and M. Novella Foster and was predeceased by his brother Clarence "Bubby" Foster.
Phil was a man who loved life and always put his family and friends first. He was retired from Carolina Handling, following a 30 year career and attended Georges Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Diane Foster; son, Paul Foster Jr. and wife Judy; daughter, DeAnna Foster and her companion, Paul Wallace; grandchildren and "Buddies", Daniel Foster and Michael Wallace; sister, Connie Edge and husband, Billy; and brother, Steve Foster and wife Floride.
A memorial celebration of Phil's life will be 6 PM, Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In honor of our father, we ask that you dress casual.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winyah Community Hospice Care, 114-B Hospital Drive, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
