Paul C. Wukits, 76, of Piedmont, SC passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023, he was surrounded by family. His 50+ year battle with Juvenile Diabetes has come to an end.
Paul was born December 14, 1946, in Pittsburgh, PA to John and Catherine Wukits of Millvale, PA. He is a US Marine and served his country honorably in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged in 1968, he worked as a welder for many years before starting a lifelong career as a glazer installing commercial skylights across the US before retiring in building maintenance. Paul was a man of small stature whose loud voice and distinctive laughter would announce his presence. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved putting miles on his motorcycle with his wife. Paul loved drinking beer with family and friends. But most of all he loved his family. He found the most joy from playing and interacting with his grandkids which always released the fun and goofy inner child he lived with his whole life. Paul will be missed by all the people whose lives he impacted. “Semper Fi Marine” May you rest in peace. We Love You!
Paul is survived by his wife Cindy; two children, Darin Wukits (Jennifer) and Paula Bickel (Rob); five grandchildren, Cayley, Devin, Madison, Zach, and Katelyn; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Theodore; and two sisters, Judy Pijanowski and Audrey Friel.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John "Inky" Wukits; and a granddaughter, Morgan Bickel.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Pittsburgh, PA.
