Pearline Smith Rhodes, 96, wife of the late, William Grady Rhodes, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.

Mrs. Rhodes was born in Pickens County, and was a daughter of the late, Hampton and Katie Waters Smith. She was retired from J. P. Stevens, enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a founding member of East Clemson Baptist Church.

Surviving is a grandson, Travis Brank and his wife, Jennifer of Easley and a great grandson, Connor Brank.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Faye Rhodes; brothers, David, Levi, Nathan, Albert, Elijah, and L. C. Smith; and sisters, Rena Reeves, Ellen Boggs, and Kathryn Galloway.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at East Clemson Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson.

The family will receive friends on Monday March 27, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to East Clemson Baptist Church, 230 Frontage Road, Clemson, SC 29631.
