Mrs. Peggy Jean Sweet Pollard, 71, wife of Richard Floyd Pollard, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home.

Born in Greenville County, the daughter of the late Jake Gilstrap and the late Madaline Sweet, Mrs. Pollard was the retired owner and operator of Peggy Jean's Beauty Shop, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Anderson.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-three years, are four sons, Richard Dean Pollard of Asheville, NC, David Arnold Pollard (Susan) of Pisgah Forest, NC, Rev. Timothy Mark Pollard (Melissa) of Anderson, and John Thomas Pollard (Gwen) of Easley; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Mark Pollard and Rev. Dr. Steve Hurte officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648.
