Larry Neil “Pete” McGaha, 77, beloved husband of Phyllis Elaine Rogers McGaha, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late Loyd Nichols “Slick” McGaha and Clara Williams McGaha.

Pete retired from Confluence, formerly Perception, after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed spending time on the lake fishing and working in his sawmill at home. He also attended United Wesleyan Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 53 years, Phyllis; a daughter, Suzanne McGaha Beddingfield (David) of Easley; grandchildren, Allie Moody (Dylan), Arabella Moody Few (Noah), Eli Moody, Parker Beddingfield, and Elliot Walters; brothers, Stan McGaha and Steve McGaha (Von Williams) of Easley; a bonus son, Scotty Nicholson; and cousins who were raised by his parents, Lucille Ware, Frances Mote, and Dee McGaha.

A special thank you to Beth and Katie of Gentiva Hospice for the warm and compassionate care they provided to Pete.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
