Philip A. Ciufo, 87, a resident of the Sterling House, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012.

Born in Rochester, NY, he was a son of the late Pasquali and Anna Napodano Ciufo. Philip was a retired civil engineer with the City of Rochester, NY School District and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are his wife, Antoinette Denaro Ciufo of the home; 4 sons, Philip A. Ciufo (Nola) of Apopka, FL, Gerald Ciufo of Rochester, NY, James Ciufo (Lynne) of Belton, SC, and Thomas Ciufo (Laurie) of Windsor, CO; 2 daughters, Kathleen Broman (Carl) of Rochester, NY and Christine Rybolt (Doug) of Central; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central with Rev. Paul M. Williams, OFM officiating. Entombment will follow in the Masoleum at Memory Gardens, Clemson.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alterra Sterling House of Central, 131 Vickery Drive, Central, SC 29630.
