Mrs. Phronsie Long McNeely, 72, of Breazeale Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late William McMurray Long and Cecile Ariail Long, Mrs. McNeely was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School and attended LSU. She was a homemaker and member of Arial Baptist Church.
Phronsie was a caring wife, loving mother and grandmother, an avid farmer, and friend to all. Her passion and calling in life was loving and taking care of others. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Surviving are her husband of forty-nine years, James W. "Smiley" McNeely; her children, Thomas W. McNeely of Gainesville, GA, Nancy M. Lollis and her husband, Dr. Patrick G. Lollis, of Williamston and Dr. J. Benjamin McNeely and his wife, Dr. Johndra U. McNeely, of Piedmont; her grandchildren, Seth, Calleigh and Lydia Lollis; a brother, Dr. James W. Long and his wife, Meredith, of Fort Smith, AR; and a sister, Ariail Seshul and her husband, Dr. Michael Seshul of Columbia, SC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McNeely was predeceased by a brother, Dr. William M. Long, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family will be at the home.
