Phyllis Rodgers Boyles, born February 11, 1927 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia to the late Paul and Lucille Rodgers, died at home December 10, 2013.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert A Boyles. She is also survived by her ten children: David (Becky) Boyles, Craig (Betty) Boyles, Lycia (Joe) Golson, Philip (Meg) Boyles, Mark (Sallie) Boyles, Beth (German) Martinez, Nathan Boyles, Sara (Richard) Douglas, Sam (Sonya) Boyles, and Aaron (Traci) Boyles. Phyllis adored her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Samuel E Rodgers. Eleanor Davis is her surviving sister and her surviving sister-in-law is Wanda Rodgers.

She graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. She enjoyed working in the community serving on the Central Town Council and working as a substitute teacher at RC Edwards and Daniel High School. In 2008 Phyllis was honored as Clemson Tiger Brotherhood Mother-of-the-Year. She loved her large family and enjoyed hosting their many friends and extended family members. Even with such a large family she always remembered birthdays and anniversaries with cards.

Visitation will be held at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC Thursday from 6pm-8pm.

The immediate family will hold a private service.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Liebman and employees of the Clemson Health Center for their extraordinary care of their mother.
