Mrs. Phyllis Scroggs Durham, 74, wife of John William "Bill" Durham, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Samuel Thomas "S.T." Scroggs and the late Rev. Evelyn Edgar Scroggs, Mrs. Durham was a graduate of Seneca High School and retired from Ryobi. She was a member of Easley Church of God.

Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was compassionate to those in need, especially friends and those who needed a friend. Phyllis was devoted to her church and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All who loved and knew her will miss her dearly. 

Surviving, in addition to her husband of thirty-two years, are her son, Matthew Kyle Nix (Lindsay) of Easley; her brother, Greg Scroggs (Marilyn) of Anderson; her sister, Marcia Harrell of Gastonia, NC; her three grandchildren, Mattie Nix, Evie Nix, and Olin Nix; a daughter-in-law, Jean Durham; and her niece and nephews, Patricia McCoy, Brandon Harrell, Andrew Harrell, Weston Scroggs (Caitlyn), Kyle Scroggs, and Mitch McCoy (Michele).

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Easley Church of God. Burial will follow in Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
