Phyllis Ogden Failing

Mrs. Phyllis Ogden Failing, 91, of 102 Fernwood Dr. and wife of Dr. George Edgar Failing for 67 years, died Sunday, February 25, 2007.
Born in Clayton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Frank and Bertha Fitch Ogden. She was a graduate of Glassboro State Teacher's College in New Jersey and taught elementary school. She was a gracious partner in ministry with a joyful spirit that endeared her to all, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and reading and was a member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by one son, Lynn Failing of Black Mountain, NC; two daughters, Joy F. Bray and husband, Don, of Indianapolis, IN and Jean F. Johnson and husband, Wilford, of St. Paul, MN; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4 PM, Friday at Pickens View Wesleyan Church with the Reverends Lewis Edwards and Don Bray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM, Friday, prior to the service in Heritage Hall of the church.
The family is at the residence.
