Asheville, N.C.
Polly Johns Leckey, 85, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 while visiting with her son in Clemson, S.C. A native of Johnstown, PA she was the daughter of the late Gilbert B. and Allegra Nowag Johns. She was a person of love and laughter who will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Philip Leckey and his wife Pat J. of Clemson; daughter, R. Patricia Leckey of the home; grandchildren, Patti Leckey, and Michele Morris and great-grandson, Philip Fortner. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Marjorie McCune Nursing Home, North Fork Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711 or to the local Gideons Camp, PO Box 1088, Clemson, SC 29633.
