Preston Lewis Raines, 65, of 598 Latham Road, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Roy and Lillian Hunter Raines, Mr. Raines was a former employee of Freeman Mechanical and Johnson Controls He was a member of Crosswell First Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Addington Raines of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Leigh Ann Raines of Easley; two brothers, James Raines of Pickens and Raymond Raines of Easley; three sisters, Ruby Hayes of Pickens, Florence Couch and Peggy Noblitt, both of Easley; four precious grandchildren, Caitlin, Aaron, Daniel and Justin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Harold Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
The family is at the residence.
