Priscilla Jo Hunter Lollis, 84, of Easley, wife of the late Henry Grady Lollis, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, South Carolina.
Born in Liberty, South Carolina, she was the oldest daughter of the late Furman David Hunter and Josephine Marie Roper Hunter. Mrs. Lollis graduated from Easley High School in 1958 and was a member of its state championship women’s basketball team. She majored in mathematics and graduated valedictorian of her 1962 class at Furman University. Priscilla subsequently taught math at Wren High School before staying home and taking pride in raising and nurturing her two children.
She was a devoted member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley and loved her Victory Sunday School Class. She was a prayer warrior for her family, church, and community. She enjoyed making homemade stamped cards for loved ones and friends.
She loved vivid bright colors and mirrored this with her mostly red and blue outfits which included matching shoes, purses, and jewelry. She enjoyed supporting her husband, children, and grandchildren in all their activities and events and attended all of these without fail.
Mrs. Lollis is survived by her daughter, Dr. Teresa Fleece (Joe) of Memphis, TN; a son, Dr. Patrick Lollis (Nancy) of Williamston; two sisters, Gail Waldrop of Easley, and Sandy Smith (Stan) of Clemson; six grandchildren, Andre Leonard (Kelly), Billy Fleece (Alison), Seth Lollis (Sophie Wilson), Calleigh Lollis, Lydia Lollis, and Kami Fleece; and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Jo Fleece.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, prior to the funeral at Rock Springs Baptist Church.
