Robert Benson "R.B." Mann, 87, of 401 Barton Street, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Walter and Georgia Mae Knox Mann, Mr. Mann retired as a self-employed carpenter and had formerly worked with Nalley Construction Company. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-nine years, Etheleen Israel Mann of the home; two sons, W.C. "Scoot" Mann and wife, Ann, of Greer, and Anthony "Tony" Mann and wife, Diane, of Six Mile; a daughter, Betty Mann Young of the home; eight grandchildren, Bobby Mann, Joe Mann, Scotty Mann, Derrick Mann, Chris Mann, Jennifer Jennings, Taylor Mann and Connor Mann; six great-grandchildren, Doug Mann, Amanda Mann, Nathan Mann, Emily Mann, Christopher Mann and Anna Jennings; also a loving sister-in-law, Annie Mae Greer O'Dell and two special nieces, Lynne O'Dell Chapman and Suzanne O'Dell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mann was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Mann and a sister, Elise Pilat.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Charlie Bishop, Rev. Dale McCoig and Mr. Chris Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

The family is at the residence.
