Rachel Henderson Ellenburg, 97, formerly of Store Road, wife of the late Rev. Carl Ellenburg, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Capstone Health and Rehab.
Born June 20, 1917 in Pickens County, to the late Fred and Maude Watson Henderson, Mrs. Ellenburg retired from Sangamo Electric and was a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship.
Surviving are three brothers, Curtis Henderson, Bruce Henderson and Fred Henderson; grandchildren, Layne Lemons (Trish), Dana Clay (James), Kendall Lemons (Lesli), Tani Clark (Rick), Clancy Cole (Randy) and Andi Cahaly (Craig); a daughter-in-law, Harriett Ellenburg Gibson; a son-in-law, Dewey Lemons; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ellenburg was predeceased by a daughter, Betty E. Lemons, a son, Larry A. Ellenburg, one brother and three sisters.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
