Mrs. Rachel Whitaker Perkins, 77, wife of the late Franklin William Perkins, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Ben Franklin and Lula Smith Whitaker, Mrs. Perkins retired from textiles.
Surviving are two sons, William Marvin Perkins of Liberty and Terry Dee Perkins of Cateechee; a daughter, Tina Creasman of Clemson; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Perkins was predeceased by two brothers, Ben Franklin Whitaker and Martin Whitaker; and a sister, Lillie Mae Smith.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Family members are at their respective homes.
