Rae Ann Romesburg, 87, widow of James William Romesburg, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, March 2, 2023. She was born February 29, 1936, in Massillon, Ohio, the daughter of Charles William Heater and Agnes Izetta Kerber Heater.
Rae Ann grew up in Massillon, attending school and graduating from Washington High School there. She later attended nurses training at Massillon City Hospital and Akron University to attain her RN certification. Rae Ann loved caring for people. For 17 years she worked 7 days a week! More than anything, she loved her family and spending time with them.
Rae Ann is survived by two children, James Romesburg of Massillon, OH, and Susan Drexler and her husband, Al of Central, SC; grandchildren, Gregory Daum and his wife, Sheila, Sarah Drexler Six, Jessica Drexler and her husband, Terrence, Albert Drexler and his wife, Heather and Haley Lee and her husband, Steven; great grandchildren, Lance Daum and his fiancé, Faithe, Charlie Six, Ava-Rae Six, Raevyn Reese, Loretta Todd and Ford Todd; and a son-in-law, Stephen Lee. In addition to her parents, Rae Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James in 1974; a daughter, Terri Lane Lee; and a brother, Charles Heater.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM Saturday, March 11th at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 310 Church Street, Central.
