Raenelle Smith Koldyke, 76, of 124 Knight Circle, Clemson, died November 17, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of Lt. Col. Martin R. Koldyke, Jr. She was born in New Castle, Indiana and graduated from Richmond Indiana High School and attended Ball State University.
Rae was active in The Andrew Pickens Chapter of the D.A.R., the Military Officers Wive's Club, and for many years the Clemson Gourmets. She is a graduate of the IKENOBO School of Japanese Flower Arranging with a teaching license in the SHOKA style.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by her three children, Raylanda Lynn of Myrtle Beach, SC, Eric Martin of Clemson and Brian Bennett and wife Tammy of Santa Barbara, CA; granddaughter, Michelle Burkholder and husband Travis; and great-granddaughter Ella Catherine Burkholder of Myrtle Beach, SC.
A graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery on the campus of Clemson University, at 2 PM, Monday, November 23 with Rev. Pat Kelley, Clemson United Methodist Church officiating.
Guests are invited to join the family at Season's by the Lake following the service.
