Joseph "Ralph" Holcombe, 86, of Adger Road, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Joseph Richard and Olga Ada Sanders Holcombe, Mr. Holcombe was owner of Holcombe Tree Service and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Syble Waldrop Holcombe of the home; a son, Wayne Holcombe (Lavern); a daughter-in-law, Shirley Holcombe; two sisters, Mildred Gantt of Liberty and Peggy Holcombe of Easley; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holcombe was predeceased by two sons, Danny Holcombe and Tony Holcombe, five brothers, Hayward Holcombe, Edward "Bud" Holcombe, Charlie Holcombe, John Holcombe and Bill Holcombe; and by two sisters, Etheleen Gantt and Geraldine Wyatt.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 PM Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 2:45 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
The family is at the residence.
