Mr. Ralph Erastus Pressley, 91, husband of Elsie Price Pressley, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, August 17, 2021.
Born in Union County, NC, a son of the late Joel Wriston Presley and the late Catherine Thomas Presley, Mr. Pressley was a graduate of Wingate High School and retired as Chief Dispatcher from Norfolk Southern Railroad with thirty-seven years of service. He was an active member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church since 1967, where he served as deacon and served with the senior adults. He was a member of the Bates Masonic Lodge, Easley #189 AFM and was a Hejaz Shriner.
Ralph loved the outdoors and gardening. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of seventy-one years, are his son, Richard R. Pressley (Jackie) of Easley; his two daughters, Gail P. Trebuchon (Charles) of Irmo, and Janet P. Johnson (Ron) of Mount Croghan, SC; a brother, Jack Pressley (Anne) of Monroe, NC; five grandchildren, Erin Armstrong (Stewart), Cory Tanner (Stephanie), Claire Ward (Nathan), David Wallace (Michael), and Alice Lishka (Brandon) and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pressley was predeceased by a grandson, Jason Pressley; two brothers, Chester H. Presley and Shuford Presley; and a sister, Dorothy P. Stanley.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Nick McClellan and Rev. Rodney Graham officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
