Rama Roper Capps, 85, of McAlister Road, wife of the late Loring Dyer Capps, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.
Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late J. Edward and Lillie Abee Roper, Mrs. Capps was a graduate of Easley High School and Draughon�??s Business College. She retired as Supervisor of Financial Operations at Baptist Easley Hospital where she also served as Secretary for the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Capps was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church where she was former WMU director.
Surviving are two sons, Kerry Capps (Kathy) of Liberty and Dale Capps of Easley; and three grandchildren, Shosha Capps, Maura Capps and Nicholas Capps. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Capps was predeceased by a brother, Roy E. Roper.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Mark Ford and Rev. Gerald Roper officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until 10:45 AM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Cross Roads Baptist Church, 160 Cross Roads Church Road, Easley, SC 29640.
The family is at the residence, 810 McAlister Road, Easley, SC 29642.
