Rampey Eady Thomas, beloved wife of Charles Allison Thomas, passed away on August 24,2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Due West, SC, she was the youngest daughter of John Nesbitt and Frances Isabel Eady. She graduated from Winthrop University with a degree in Elementary Education. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Rampey is survived by her daughters, Isabel Anderson (Robert) of Whitsett, NC, Elizabeth “Beth” Thomas of Elberton, GA, Mary Diones (Earl) of Gaffney, SC, Leah Romero (Todd) of Pendleton, SC and Emma Black of Clemson; along with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Charles, and her daughter Amy Johannsen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, John N. Eady and William D. Eady.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Foothills for their support and care of Rampey and the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Clemson Botanical Gardens.
