Ramsey Smith Rollins, 92, of 431 Gaines Street, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Central, he was the son of the late Adam and Eugenia Holland Rollins. He was retired from Clemson Lumber Company and was self employed builder and a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Reba Simpson of Central; two sons, Robert "Bob" Rollins and wife, Evelyn of Central; Roger Rollins and wife, Liz Rollins of Central; daughter-in-law, Dicie Rollins of Central; brother, Gene Rollins of Central; and sister, Doris Porter of Central; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Lola Boggs Rollins; his second wife, Sue Roach Rollins; son, John Adam "Jay" Rollins; sister, Lois Madden; brothers, A.D. Rollins, Weldon Rollins, Holland Rollins, Bill Rollins and Mac Rollins.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Saturday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Perry officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
