James Randolph "Randy" Ellis, 81, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at AnMed Health Center.
Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Rev. J.H. and Elizabeth Gambrell Ellis, Randy retired as a manager at Thom McAn and was a charter member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, James C. Ellis (Linda) of Semmes, AL, Michael A. Ellis (Nancy) of Fountain Inn, and Rev. Barry D. Ellis (Carol) of Lebanon, TN; a brother, Earl Ellis (Barbara) of Easley; four grandchildren, Brian, David, Jason and Amy Ellis; a step-brother, Tommy Henderson of Easley; two step-sisters, Barbara Temples of Greenville and Donna Bennett of Easley; and the mother of his children, Frances Jones Snyder of Easley. In addition to his parents, Randy was predeceased by his step-mother, Louise Henderson Ellis.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:45 until 2:30 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Pendleton Street Baptist Church, 601 South Pendleton Street, Easley, SC 29640.
The family is at the home of Earl and Barbara Ellis, 350 Haywood Road, Easley, SC 29640.
