Randy GordonCentral Randy Gordon, 79, of Central passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016.

Born in Henderson, TX, Randy was the son of the late Johnny Marion Gordon and Pinkey Mable Hawkins Gordon.

He was retired from the Gordon Company.

Randy lived his life full of enthusiasm and will be remembered for his sunny smile. His many hobbies included kayaking, cycling, hiking, boating and snow-skiing.

He was devoted to his wife of 45 years, Nancy Henderson Gordon.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sisters-in-law, Anne Martin, Jo Schmid and her husband Ueli Schmid, Linda Henderson Meeks, nephew, Paul Allen Dunbar, IV, nieces Elizabeth Dunbar Walsh and her husband Westbrook Emmet Walsh and Constance Margaret McCarley, great-nephews William Russell Walsh and Nathan Marchionette and great-niece Brooke Elizabeth Walsh.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be sent to the charity of one’s choice or to the Pendleton Fire and Rescue Service P O Box 708, Pendleton, SC  29670.
