Ray "Sonny" Patrick Baker

Ray “Sonny” Patrick Baker, 87, of Easley, loving husband of Connie Johnson Baker, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Born in Rock Hill, SC, he was a son of the late George Thomas and Viola Adams Baker. He was thirteen out of fourteen siblings. Ray was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed cheering on his Atlanta Braves and Clemson Tigers. He was a man of faith, serving as a deacon, chairman of the deacons, Sunday School teacher, and volunteering with the Gideons. Ray was a member of Newspring Church - Powdersville. He was a business owner, owning a vending machine company, and was co-owner of a wholesale plant company.

In addition to his loving wife of 44 years, he is survived by a son, Randy Baker, of Slabtown, SC; a daughter, Kerri Baker Jetton (Brian), of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Reese and Ryleigh Jetton, and Penny Baker; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Baker; two daughters, Brenda Powell, and Kellye Lynne Baker; and a grandson, Steven Baker. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 12:30 PM until 1:15 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, West.
